CicloSDias is an Open Streets Project

CicloSDias is inspired by open streets projects all over the world. Open Street events temporarily close streets to automobiles so that people may use them for healthy and fun physical activities like walking, jogging, biking and even dancing. Today, there are more than 90 Open Streets initiatives in the United States and Canada.

CicloSDias welcomes everyone in San Diego to walk, ride, stroll and enjoy our streets. Approximately 3 miles of city streets will be opened to families, pedestrians, cyclists, joggers, skateboarders, and anyone else interested in using this public space in a new way. The event will include a “Hub” in 3 different spots along the route. These Hubs will feature CicloSDias merchandise, showcase event sponsors and host a variety of fun activities. Check out the route map to see where each Hub is located.

What People Are Saying

“Last year we had 50,000 people come out on the first day, [this year] we’re easily double that, it is just incredibly exciting. You look at the faces of people, it just completely captures the enthusiasm, the excitement, the wonder, of using our streets a little differently.”

Janette Sadik-Kahn, New York DOT Commissioner
